Depending on what age you are ie under 30 yrs old, some authorities help new business start-ups with grants etc. Look into this via your local council website/telephone directory. You would probably need a business plan should you need financial back up from your bank if you cannot get start-up help plans. You would also need to look into how many people (if more than 1 person) would be employed, National Insurance, Tax, working insurances (in case of accidents at work), Food Standards Agency about regulations etc, temperature probing food to be a certain holding temperature etc. Best of luck!

there are loads of government bodies who can give you advice in the UK. I used one called "business gateway" - assuming that's nationwide (I used it in Scotland) i would have thought the most important thing to find out about is health and safety regulations. after that - start advertising in shop windows (you want local customers) and take it from there! good luck

You need to get yourself, a good low cost bookkeeper/accountant, who can guide you through every step of the way. I can recommend Quart 'A' Accounting Services, they are a bit away from you, but they work across the country, and their prices are amazing, try their web sire www.quartaaccountancy.co.uk Good luck
