Is medical billing something you can do from home?

How can I be a stay at home mom and still obtain an income?

  • I really want to be a stay at home mom for my newborn preemie. (I think her dad would like it too!) I can't figure out how to still bring in a decent income while doing it though. I know about Medical billing/coding from home, but everything wants experience or a degree. I'm looking into Mary Kay, but is that really something I can do without leaving the house? I don't need a substantial income, but something to help with bills is all my boyfriend wants. Any GOOD ideas? Other then the millions of scams I find online when I google "work from home?"

    I am disabled and not able to work. I sale on EBay and I love it!! If you don't have a camera, go buy one at Wal-Mart for $20, that connects to your computer. It is easy to do. I started selling things I had laying around in drawers and closets. Then, my moma and friends started bringing stuff from there houses and glad to be rid of it. Girl, you can sale just about anything. Check it out and look at how things are priced. On occasion, we take off early on Sat mornings and hit garage sales, to stock up on goodies. I have bought things for a $1 and sold them for $10. You can even get boxes from the Post Office for free! And, I have people save me newspapers to pack with. You can learn everything you need about shipping and cost on the EBay site. Whatever you decide to do I wish you luck and I believe the best decision you made is staying home with your baby!

I sell Mary Kay, you cannot do this without leaving your home. Unfortunately any network based business aren't going to be adventageous because it requires networking to market your business. If you have a degree or skill that you could tutor or teach in your own home that would be an excellent idea. If you could find a business in your area with a customer call center, you may be able to work from home answering customer service issues.

My GF's mother watches kids in her home (ours included). Look for rates in your area and pick up 2-3 kids, or whatever you can handle. There are usually needs around towns for more care for kids during working hours. Especially if you can be a little flexible with the hours (IE, take kids an hour later than most caregivers).

My aunt does AVONand she makes a killing. She does have to leave f0r delivery days but that would be mostly it. Which I would say that would be a great day out of the house or you can hire a high school kid to do your deliveries once you grow your business.
