How much does it take to start a cafe?

I want to open a gaming Cafe but need advise?

  • So i basically have no credit no money no nothing. I just started college, and i'm taking a few business classes. I am 18 i know it's young, but i want to open a gaming cafe i have people who want to get involved and i trust these people. I have a space picked out. I know what i'm selling I know what events i'm going to have I know how much everything is going to cost BUT Considering my age i don't think anyone is going to take me seriously. I was wondering, if the best way to start is to take out a personal loan or should i try for a small business loan? I have people who are willing to work with me to open this place. But i need to know what way is it better for me to go. Yes, I know i'm young. I know it cost a lot. I also know, i should be waiting a few years. But i want to work and open the store. I just feel that it is easier for me to do this. so any advise i would gladly appreciate it thank you.

    My personal advice is hold onto your money. Going into business is very risky unless you have a large nest egg you're sitting on. I've seen too many people go into business and fail in their first year...not to say that will happen to you but the odds are stacked against you. I think there are easier ways to leverage your earnings if your are willing to think outside the box a little. i myself have done very successful in several business ventures with very little start up costs and no overhead. I would bee willing to share some ideas with you if you'd like.

So how much is it going to cost? nobody will give you a loan if you have no money yourself nobody will rent you premises either, unless you have proof of a regular income from work You need a business plan, and money for equipment and fittings and fixtures first How would you pay the rent upfront, the heating and lighting so get a job, work hard and save money, then approach a lender and see how you get on
