Do you think the guy is charging too much to teach me how to sell successfully on ebay?

  • Hi, I have a coworker that sells on ebay part-time (2 days a week). He makes $20,000, has good ebay feedback, and was taught by a certified ebay instructor.He is also in the process of getting certified. I have being on ebay about 7 years and sold dozens of things but in most cases I ended up paying more than what I earned. I want to sell on ebay as a part-timer too and he is willing to teach me the "secrets" and tips on selling on ebay successfully. The question is, Is $500 okay for a week of training, unlimmited phone and email support by a person who sells successfully but is not certified yet? Thanks in advanced.

What is he netting?'

That doesn't sound like a bad price since you will be getting unlimited phone and email support with it. You should still research on the internet to see how much you can get other eBay courses for. There are many courses available, but the benefit that you would have that many others don't have is that you're getting live training and unlimited phone and email support. Best wishes!

Based on my experience a good net rate on ebay is 10-15% depending on the item. If you already sell on ebay and this guy is doing it successful I would go for it. The trick with ebay is there are a lot of novices like yourself who do business on there, but very few professionals who know how to really unlock the secrets of ebay. If he even grosses that much business on the site he is doing something right. My only questions is why is he your co-worker still? Hope this helps... Kliksys
