How much money does a chef make?

How much money do average Pampered Chef consultants make?

  • I am thinking of becoming a Pampered Chef consultant to make extra money for Christmas. How much money do they really make and how soon do you see a check? Thank you!

  • Answer:

There is no average. It all depends on how many shows you can book and how much product is sold at those shows. You can have shows that only do $150 or you can have shows that do $1000. It just all varies. As soon as you have a show you will get your commission check from that show on the next check cycle date. We get paid on the 8th and the 22 if you have direct deposit. Not sure if you don't. I highly encourage Pampered Chef if you don't want to do a traditional job as you set your own hours, and go as far as you want or not want to. It is all in your own hands and your success is all on you.

My g/f did it. Made some money but spent it all back on the product. I do like some of the products but you would be better off picking up a second job. Maybe somewhere that your buying most your xmas gifts, that way you get a employee discount!

I've been a consultant for half a year now, and I average $60 per show. It depends on where you live and how much you sell, of course--(I live in a less affluent area with lots of consultants), but there's more to it. I view it as I will be bringing in at least $30 per show (a minimum for a show is $150, and you get 20% starting out). As your sales go up, so does your commission. If you go over $750 in sales in a month, you get an extra 2% (22%) on your commission and it increases from there. You will also earn awesome bonuses during your first 3 months. Your director or recruiter will have all the details you will need on that. When I joined I was concerned with "when will I see a return on my investment?" It was after my first 3 shows (actually, 2 "having my stepmom and mother-in-law pass around catalogs" shows and 1 actual cooking show). You will see your first check November 8th if you submit sales as late as Halloween. If you don't submit any until November, you will get a check November 22nd for any orders submitted by November 15th. As far as blowing it on more product, that's up to you. You get the commissions and spend them on whatever you want. There is no inventory to carry. We do get awesome discounts, and tons of free stuff, so it's pretty painless to build a personal collection. :) Right now is an awesome time to join, since you can earn free cookware and free spring products that haven't even been introduced yet! Talk to your recruiter or director for details. I hope this helps you make your decision! I know joining was a very good thing for me and my family, and I am now using my commissions for our Christmas shopping, too! :)

You can make more % on other direct sales companies, but be careful, they usually require you to buy inventory and invest up front (like the purses) or their product is so inexpensive that you have to sell ALOT to get the same commission. Pampered Chef is an excellent choice because it has something for everyone that likes to eat :)

It all depends on how much product you sell.

Consultants make an average of $100 per show. Being that this is the Christmas shopping season, you could easily average more than that. New consultants start out making 20% on their sales, but you can make as much as 25% based on your level of sales for the month. We get paid twice a month; on the 8th and the 22nd. Please let me know if you have any other questions about being a consultant.

I agree with gr82cu.......it all depends on you. If you hold lots of parties and sell sell sell you will make tons. Invite people to your house and have all of the stuff Pampered Chef has and let people see AND taste AND use the products. I have gone to parties where people just sit there and talk and talk and talk and never let you have hands on.

It really truly depends. If they only get 20% that is not very much though!! I'm a consultant for Purse Party and make 30% the night of my party that usually means making $150 that night. Then if we sell 1000 a month which is about 2 parties you get an extra 10% in a check!! So you can earn 40% back. If you do 2 parties a week you would make around an extra $1300 a month! If you want info about our company let me know. It's the best season to get started with any company really!
