You can 'end the listing early'. If you are worried about it going for a price that is 'too low' - go ahead. Sometimes people wait until the last second - but it is no guarantee of a high price. It is a 'do you want to take a chance' type of thing. If you do a buy it now, or set a higher start price this may ease your fears in the future.

you can still end your listing if your afraid it won't go for much and you would rather keep it. Just put down there was an error in listing, or item is no longer for sale for reason.

As long as there are no bids you can cancel the listing.

While there are no bids you can end the listing early. 4 watchers does not mean a thing - people put your listing on watch for various reasons. Some have a similar item that they want to sell so just want to see what price you get. Some want an item like yours but there are quite a few up for sale so they put them all up on watch. I put a digital camera up for sale last month and had over 40 watchers but only 2 bid. I have had a pair of Levi's Jeans up for sale for 7 days, had no watchers at all, then they sold less than an hour before the listing ended (on Buy it Now - i NEVER use open auction and i am just about up to the 1000 trades mark now). Why do i never use open auction - probably for the same reason you are worried. I do not want to give my items away to a sole bidder for 99p. Last week i won a Panasonic digital camera worth 50 quid of any ones money - the opening bid price was listed as 99p, i was the only bidder and got it for 99p plus a fiver postage. Much to my surprise the 5 rated seller honoured the sale and it is very nice.

Here's my experience 1. Item: Full used Golf set. no watchers, last 2 hours 2 bidders. last 30 mins 7 bidders. sold for £35. (I kind of made profit but in business terms it worked out to break even). 2. Item: Weights and bench. Off ebay offers of £30. many watchers no bidders till last min. only one bid and sold for £5. But it got me some +ve feedback and that meant more to me as I was only a starter then. its scary but you have to be willing to take your chance. Is the bag special/ rare/ designer - something that will def sell? are there any offers off ebay that are good (usually I do not go down this route as it can be seen as bad practice unless u have stated u may retract item from auction). having watchers shows there is interest. There are 2 kinds of watchers. 1 who is shopping around for the best deal and so might be watching your item as one of many to see where they can get better deal. But most are the 2nd type where they are clever and bid at last min. theory behind it is that that more bidders attract other bidders as they want the item, and so the price can go up (of course favoring you). however they want a bargain and so won't place a bid till the last hours or mins thus not attracting other bidders or egging current bidders on to bid one over them. I would say in your situation, you have 2 days left, there is no point in taking the item off as you will have to pay some fees. And what exactly are you loosing by keeping it in auction? if anything you will gain or not but you won't have incurred a huge loss. Good luck anyway. hope I made sense.

dont worry! there's still someone out there whos gonna bid:) i also went on that stage but at about before my listing ends about 10 hours someone bid so dont worry;) and if no one does you can relist it and ebay does not charge you for relisting it. and try selling it for like only 3 days. goodluck and dont panick
