Would there be the problem on PayPal?

Ebay purchase problem. Paid via paypal but not straight from ebay,buyer gave me an invoice in paypal account.?

• Hi i have purchased something from ebay. The paypal invoice wasn't straight from the ebay website instead he sent me an invoice in the paypal account. So i paid it and now the seller goes MIA. No responses to all my messages and all. He removed all his listings on ebay. I filed a dispute on paypal already and tried to file a dispute on ebay but ebay said that if you have paid through paypal then that's where i should dispute. The thing is the invoice in paypal doesnt link to the ebay purchase i did,as i have said the seller sent me an invoice through paypal direct and not ebay. You reckon its enough to just have a dispute on paypal? And how can i link it to my ebay purchase?

  Sounds like he scammed you because it should have been paid through ebay instead of directly from paypal...he tricked you by sending you an invoice the wrong way I guess. I am sorry that happened! I think you can at least report the scam artist to ebay but since you didn't follow ebays rules for paying, I can see why they will not help you...I honestly don't know how you would get your money back but I guess try paypal...
