I want to start a non profit.

I want to start a non profit but have one question please help?

• Hey I planning to open a non profit organization for women.I don't want to give to much detail because someone might still my idea lol.I want my organization to stand for more then one cause.How can I do that? Do I make two different npo.Or how can I advertise them both as one.I'm afraid someone might not donate because they won't like the other cause. I also thing the organization with make more having them combine.For example let's pretend my organization wants to help young teens prevent bulling but also help pregnant teens and adults.How do I mission my npo? How do I manage each together with out getting criticism?

  That is a good question. It seems like it would be better to either have two similar missions that you can work on jointly or to start two npos. It would be more accounting that way though, and there would be a temptation to share funds that would get you audited so fast! The sba.gov website should be helpful, they have business people who are local who should be a lot of help. Several of my profs are involved in nonprofits, and they are members of the Small Business Association, so there should be people to help you wherever you are.
