How to deal with "these" people in my dads coffee shop?

  • okay simple and short explanation. weekdays-1000 dollars-good morning business- than boring weekends 3000 dollars-busy all freaking day -line out the door and a bigger % of retarded people i work sometimes just me and my dad and a worker running the kitchen and im running register-people-cups-coffee-bakery- dads got the coffee makin and shakes girl in the kitchen got all foods and smoothies our freaking problems with these retarded people that should just kill themselves -use our toilet and not buy anything ( ppl we know give like a dollar in the tip at the end of day and they come use it several times so its straight ) -come in with other food/drinks not pay for anything and sit down till close with their laptops -just buy a small coffee- drink that- than fill it with skim milk and drink that and sit till close... -people who order espresso shots wanting over ice-go to the skim milk and create an almost skim au lait -people who cannot freaking hear their drink and just stand that like tards and someone else takes their drink and the 1st person complains saying wheres my drink, some cant even grab the right drink. they order a strawberry smoothie ( COLOR RED ) and take a YELLOW colored smoothie...omg -people who are allergic to everything and tell me after they order and say they cant eat that... -people who want special foods/drinks that are not standard on the menu and you cant even make it if u dont have this or that and yet they want it without this or that. And on the weekends we cant make specialties or type it up to send to the kitchen. Not enough time. we got a line goin out the door. there is more...but w.e. i mean idk what these people are doing. like let me see your parents maybe thats why your so messed up. cause your dad did so wonderful to raise you well. freaking come into a business like that and not buy anything and take a dump in our toilet and use wi-fi till close making us unable to go home on time after a 13 hr workday. my dads used to it, im only 16 after 13 hrs retarded people push me to my limits. but since im 16 u automatically think i cant work. shush- my register balance is always perfect- i never mess up with drinks unless the tard says its decaf after. and i keep the coffee pourin and make sure all 4 arent getting too low and cut the bagels-toast em keep em all in track, memorize like types of bagels and scones to get for whom. And i get it all done so its not me. its these whack customers and idk what to do. just go up to the man and say. im sorry no food or drinks allowed please leave? HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THAT??? when its closing time i say. we'll be closing in 5 minutes and they leave in a bit. so other than shooting these people what would you do? reasonable and wouldnt get the business in trouble or give it a bad rep or lower profit. thanks

You kick their asses out, its not hard you say BUY SOMETHING OR LEAVE and make a code for your internet meaning when someone buys something they come in and you give them on the receit the code for the internet

Your dad ( and you) need to sit down and figure out some control methods over the situation. Maybe visit a few similar businesses to observe, and he could speak with the owner about how they are handling their situations. I know the laptop thing is a "fairly" new one, and its not fair they are using your business as a library, so to speak. Then you need to maybe start charging minimal fees for some of these additives. No help yourself stuff.

awwww. i admit that some of that made me laugh. rants are enjoyable if nothing else. =] but i do know what you mean, the restaurant i used to work at, we'd all be dieing to go home at like 11pm and people would just be sitting there! we'd take away all their plates n stuff.. but theyd still sit there at an empty table and talk. or people would come in at 10-30 and order. sometimes i felt like saying NO! kitchens closed you nocturnal *****. go to a drive through. but eh. i held back. youre gonnna get people like that everywhere in life. not much you can do

There is nothing you can do to change people. It's part of doing business with the public. I have worked with the public for 40 years. Nothing has changed in that time.
