Im 14 and need a job what do i do?

Im 14 and really need a job. does anyone know what i can do besides babysitting?? i want a REAL job. please he

Well due to your age, getting a "REAL" job will be difficult. I know in our state, the school won't even give you a pass to work until you are 16. Anyway, my daughter is 13 and she walks dogs for money. 5 dollars a walk is standard but more if the dog is difficult and less if the dog is really easy or the person does not have a lot of money. (elderly on a pension or state aide) Paper routes also accept younger workers. You could check into that.

It's really difficult for 14 yr olds to find "real jobs". You have to get a work permit, usually from department of social services or somewhere, varies state to state. Then you just need to look around - fast food places maybe, movie theatre - maybe. It will be difficult though. Most businesses prefer 16yrs+

One of my best friends when I was 15 went around to thrift shops and picked out the best clothes for cheap and purses and other items and spruced them up, reconstucted them etc and then sold them on ebay. You may have to get your parents to open an account or permission to have the account. She made so much money doing this....and still does. Infact I think she makes about 300-600 dollars a week, on 6-7 great reconstucted thrift finds! Also you may want to look at http://etsy.com if you like to make things, it is a place to set up shop for things that are hand made.

the bad news is because of your age it is almost impossible to get a "real" job. but the good news is there are ways for you to make money. lawn care, babysitting (even though you dont care for it, it is a great source of income), snow shoveling, i use to paint houses and run errands for the elderly, dog walking, tutoring, etc. good luck!

i started working when i was 14 washing up in a local old peoples home. I think there are limits on how many hours u can do. whata bout a paper round, washin up in resturants, glass collecting in pubs, dog sitting, dog walking, cleaning. I did all these things before i was 16. good luck

Honey, I myself have been loking for a real job since i was your age and i have gone years unscuessfully and i know of people who are in college who still are unsucessful. Its all about getting your foot in the door. No one wants to hire you if you have no experience and you cant get experience till someone hires you, that whole prediciment. My advice to you would be ask your parents, do they have friends who own a shop or know someone who knows someone who could help you out. If you dont know people, chances of finding work are slim to none.

Paper rounds, work in a post office/shop, or you could be an Avon rep, but you'd have to get it in a parents name.
