Is it legal or illegal to copy another website's terms and conditions? Can the terms/cond. be copywritten?
-
I am getting a website designed and want to copy a competitor's terms and conditions since it looked like they covered their butt's very well with what is says - like no refunds and not responsible if the people posting on the sites are lying or not, etc. Are the terms and conditions a copywritten item or not? Thanks.

Answer:
It is illegal to copy any work word for word. You are allowed to imitated them though. Be creative. Take points you like from a few sites and formulate what works best for you.
