How Do You Go About Opening a Tattoo Shop?

  • My life long goal has been to open a tattoo shop. I am a talented artist, and my plan is to go to college and learn what I need to, however that may be, and become an artist and open a shop. But, I don't have any idea where to start now, at age 15. Please do not say I am too young, we all have crazy dreams, and this is mine, I see tattoos as priceless pieces of art that should mean something to you. It would be an absolute honor for me to tattoo someone, giving them something to be proud of, that's my ultimate source of satisfaction-making others happy. Anyways, I would just like to know, where do I start as I approach my sophomore year in high school. I know art classes are a must, and I am definitely going to college. However, I don't have the slightest clue how to make a good tattoo shop. I want to have a fun, safe, clean, and cheerful enviroment, it shouldn't feel like a doctors appointment. So, what are some other cool things to put in a tattoo/piercing shop? Like, fun things like the photo booth Kat Von D had in her shop for a while before she sold it. Thanks everyone! [: ~Laura
