Where does 'personalize this page' on my 'MY YAHOO' page mean?

What does it mean when yahoo asks do you want yahoo as your home page are they asking for my web site?

i have a new online shopping mall and they asked do i want them as my home page.

When they ask this, they are asking you if it's OK for Yahoo to be the first page that shows up when you start your browser.

This means that when you open up Internet Explorer it will automatically open to Yahoo. Also whenever you click the house icon on the toolbar at the top on IE it will take you to Yahoo.
