• Well, i am almost 13 and i have babysat my twin neighbors (2 year olds) for about a week so far. Then i come home today and my mom tells me that my best friend dropped off a babysitting flyer in their mailbox. She knew i babysit them a lot. Well, anyway, I just want to make a really good flyer that stands out better than hers. I have no idea what hers looks like. 1. What should I include? I am going to take a Red Cross babysitting course. 2. What program on the computer should I use? i have a babysitting book from American Girl Doll.

  1. Normally just a 3x5 card posted in the local supermarket free ad board would do. Flyers can be pretty expensive. But if you insist on an attractive flyer, you can probably try printing on A5 or A4 size paper. You're very young and your twin neighbors are the only experience you've mentioned. Anyway, when you babysit, what have you been praised for? E.g. if the parents of the twins have said that you're attentive, work fast, and very likeable, you can put those in your flyer. How long will your Red Cross babysitting course take? When you're done with that, you can add in your flyer that you are a Red Cross certified babysitter. That adds some extra selling point. 2. I like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. I find them quite user friendly once I get used to them. Go look on google images for sample works in desktop publishing. Some people also like CorelDraw. Btw why do you want to make flyers in the first place? Is it just to outsmart your best friend? Or are you actually open for strangers to call you and ask you to babysit? I wouldn't advice taking jobs from strangers at such a young age, it's not safe. Wait until you're 16.
