Are there any real free work at home jobs?

Work at home jobs, are they real?

  • Is there really such a thing as a valid work at home company? I am pregnant and really don't want to work away from home after I have our daughter but I think all the work at home jobs are a scam. Are they? Does anyone know anybody that works at home?

  • Answer:

Some are real. Many are scams. If you have a particular skill that can be performed regardless of location, that's an advantage. For example, I know (and use) half a dozen freelancer writers who work from home. If you have secretarial skills, you can become a "virtual assistant." I used one for awhile, and I know a lot of people who do use them. Mine worked out of her home in New Jersey (I'm in Virginia); I know other VAs all around the country. If you're particularly knowledgeable in some area, there are some online tutoring companies. You qualify with them. Then when a kid somewhere needs tutoring in a subject you've qualified for (let's say English), the kid goes through the online company and reaches you, and you get a share of what the kid (or, more likely, his parents) are paying for the online tutoring. I know a few people who are making money on Ebay. But, while you can do that from home, it does take effort. Don't get involved in anything that requires any money up front. None of the examples I've listed above require any payment up front. In some, you take a test and get qualified. As a freelance writer, you just "pitch" editors. On Ebay, either you're selling stuff you already have or that you make, or you've arranged for drop shipping of products from some other location. Hope that helps.

My cousin (a technical writer) worked at home during her mat leave. It's something you could arrange with your current employer to stay home some or all of the days of the week.

Most of the ones you see on the net are scams. And the "legit" ones require you to do enough work that they still benefit way more than you do.

It really depends on where you're at. Monster has a few valid work from home listings, but you do have to watch what they're offering. Also, there are a few training sites for a DirecTV Vendor opening around the country that are training for a work at home position. Albany GA, Watertown NY, Wichita Falls TX, and a few others I can't recall off the top of my head. The company is NEW Corp (National Electronics Warranty) and they are completely legit. www.newhomebasedccr.com will give you more details on that as well as more of the locations doing training and a link to an online application. They start at 9.50/hr, which begins day one of training. Others of note; many medical transcription services utilize at home dictation specialists (you listen to a doctor and type word for word what is said). Some medical billing services, and a very few audio/web content translation positions are also available as work from home. The rule of thumb to rely on though; If they don't offer training it's probably a scam. Reason being, all these positions utilize virtual desktops or remote applications that can be difficult to learn without assistance. Anyone telling you you can work from home and earn a competitive wage without training is going to follow up by handing you a bunch of envelopes to stuff or miniatures to build

I know 4 people who work from home doing the work they used to do in an office, for the employer they worked for in the office. I know two other people who work from home, with their own businesses - one does PR, the other does website design and maintenance. The "jobs" you'll find on the Internet, or from people here, are pretty much all scams.

This is also the eternal quest that I and loads of other people, especially single parents like myself with a young child have been asking. Over time, I've become increasingly frustrated and disheartened about leads that I've followed up, and ideas that are out there, either because it involves pouring alot of money into it, or it's a scam or it's something that really doesn't generate a real (and I mean in terms of a wage an employer would give you for part time or full time) income to support a household. So because of this, I'm now in the process of starting up an employment agency dedicated to single parents especially, who wish to work from home. There's nothing like it out there from what I've found, especially here in the UK. I'm looking for a pool of talented people who have genuine skills to offer an employer, are UK based ONLY and would like to register free of charge with my agency. Once registered, and I have your CV and details of what kind of work and salary you are hoping for, I will match you with an employer. Once introduced to the relevant company, the transaction is then between you and them. The companies you deal with will be genuine, real and legit UK based firms and sole traders. They will be companies that will be vetted personally by myself and my team, and will be offering proper work, may it be f/t, p/t, temporary or contracted ad hock. If you are interested in registering with JR Office Solutions, please email me. I will also have a website up and running by the end of the week, and I will be posting the details here, and forwarding the link on to those who email me shortly. Thank you and good luck x

Really most of them are scams. Try to create a blog and make money with adsense. The below links are very legitimate and you can make money using that links.
