I would suggest you get your details on the yellow pages www.yell.com. You can ad a basic listing for free. Apart from that you can try cheap ads in places like Freeads, Fryday ads etc Section from yell: What does a free listing include? A free listing simply displays your business name, address and telephone number under a single classification heading of your choice. It will appear in Yellow Pages, Business Pages¹, on our telephone information service Yellow Pages 118 24 7 and on our website Yell.com. This is a good bet for getting your business out there to millions! Good luck. If i think of anymore then I will post them. :-) Try these Also: http://www.uksmallbusinessdirectory.co.uk/ http://www.freeindex.co.uk/categories/Property/Construction/Plastering/

hi good luck to you, my son is a plasterer working on site and he has had a terrible time lately trying to get regular work, apparantley there was a shortage of plasterers a couple of years ago and it seems that all the world decided to train and now there are more plasterers than jobs. what he did do was get some leaflets printed off his computer and put them on car windowscreens at our local b&q and other places and he did get a couple of replies, but not that many, still you only need a couple of good jobs out of it and hoopefully word of mouth.

What you could do is keep an eye on the property pages in your local paper. If there is an ad for a property that says 'in need of modernisation' wait for it to sell and then post leaflets through theirs and their neighbours doors. Worth a try, I've just had my whole house done. Also don't make your prices too cheap, it makes people suspicious.

*try advertising in local papers and have business cards made .give them to friends and family and leave them in places like shops and surgerys.even phone boxes and clubs.
