Who Is The Owner Of City Electrical Factors?

Notarizing issues for City Business License, owner out of state?

  • I am wanting to get a business license from the city, but I rent and the owner that I rent from lives in another state. The document has to be signed and notarized. Does this mean that I will be unable to obtain a city business license? The county business license does not require notary, so I figured I would go with county instead of city, but it would be nice to get all of my ducks in a row, just in case. I’m starting a pet sitting and dog walking business, by the way, if that helps any. And living in Kissimmee, Florida.

  • Answer:

It is your signature that needs to be notarized, not your landlord. You are OK. You should also file for a state sales tax permit from the FL dept of revenue
