    you don't earn money by simply creating a blog. you'll earn by MANAGING A BLOG or simply blogging. adsense is one. another is participating in various affiliation/affiliates programs of various websites. it's like an advertising partnership. you'll be getting commissions for every product sold thru your blog's advertising of their products. find a website that is rewarding and has in-demand products. like in my case,and my friends' too, my blog visitors are predominantly asians and in asia korean movies/shows are a hit. so i signed up with yesasia.com to be their affiliate. i got a banner for my blog(the site provides that, you just have to copy the html code), posted it in my blog's template...and i am just tracking my earnings. but most importantly, you have to have a lot of traffic/readership/visitors on you blog or personal website. less traffic, less earnings. no traffic, no earnings. why? because without traffic, who's gonna patronize your "advertisements"? adsense pay for every click of their ads.

Yes, it is related to adsense. You have to write a blog which many thousands of people read, then a small proportion of those click on an adsense advert and you get paid a small amount. Its the getting thousands of people to read your blog bit that is difficult if you dont know what you are doing, which is why not everyone is driving big shiny new cars.

If your blog is interesting enough and gets enough hits, you can very easily add things such as AdSense or other advertisement programs to your blog. The way to install this depends on what blog system you are using, and you will have to figure this out yourself. After this is placed on your website, if the advertisements are relevant to whatever your blog is, you will probably gain profit from the advertisements.

I thought a blog was just a personal page like an online diary. I suppose that is the nature of the web, someone has a good idea like usenet, email, you tube, blogs etc. And when they become popular, because people have been driven mad by spammers and marketers in the other areas, the carpet baggers move in add try and exploit the new thing and then they just challenge the innovators to invent a new pollution free zone. For a short time anyway. Maybe I should post a question "How do I make money on Yahoo answers?"
