Has anyone actually been successful in an "at home business?

Is anyone actually making any significant money in any of these home business ventures?

• I have been trying my hand at making money from home for the better part of a decade and have very little to show for it. I hear stories all of the time about some people doing exactly what I do (selling products and services on a commission basis) who are making 10 grand or more in a month or 10 grand or more in a day in some rare cases. I have done exactly what they claim to have done, put in time, effort and even shelled out some of my own money with a much lower rate of return than what they claimed to have made. I would consider myself lucky in months where I could break even or make a profit, but most of the time I lost money spending more on advertising and promotion that didn’t work than I actually ever made selling the products/services I offered. Advertising online is a bit like advertising in a fish bowl I often have a greater amount of success promoting my online business offline. Is it even possible to make a full time income online anymore or is the home business arena overly saturated?

Sure. is it a norm? of course not to sell anything to anyone, you must be SOLVING THE CUSTOMER'S PROBLEM[s] then you do that, they buy.
