Is it secure to leave my job as a restaurant manager to became a loan officer??

    Hello, is there a valid reason that you would have to officially "quit" your job as restaurant manager to become a loan officer? Honestly, the loan industry is in the dumps right now. Some officers are busy, but in spurts. Have you seen the news? Not many people can afford to do anything but let the bank repo their home. All major companies have down-sized. It seems like you could work both jobs, can't you? If you are looking for an all or nothing answer, I say "no" to quitting your manager job.

You should keep working at the restaurant for now and probably start working on the loans without quitting your current job. In this changing market, lenders are making it more difficult to get a buyer pre qualified for a loan and it's better if you first create a pipeline, close at least one deal and then think on moving forward on going full time with the loans.

I wouldn't, It takes time to build relationships in a job that result in promotion. When you move jobs, you have to start over. The only exception is when you are in the highest position of your current job and your promotion potential is higher at the other job.
