Are there real work at home businesses?

Are there any legit home based businesses out there and how in the world can i get real proof they work?

  • When I check scam websites to check out a home based business, it seems as if the person writing the article is doing some kind of promotion for the business. I need help due to failing health and the need to work at home to support my children. I am a single mom and receive no child support.

First of all, when searching home based businesses, don't go to blogs or reports or anything like that. We wrote a blog on all this based on our investigations we did. You'll be quite shocked on the things we found about people reporting various different companies as scams, fakes or frauds. Most business owners don't bother to detest because they don't effect their income at all, and most people know what's posted isn't legit anyway. And the sites that allow the posts don't really check themselves or investigate the claims. Have you noticed that most things claimed to be scams, just the people claiming a scam is shown first and the rebutal or recon or cross examine (each site refers it to something, but you know what I mean) anyhow, the counter part is hard to find, or sometimes isn't even posted for several days later. Most sites don't even contact the business claimed apon to even give them a chance to counter or anything. Making it one sided. A friend of mine created a blog on her yahoo page on Home based Business opportunities. There are several different ones in different industries to take a look at and see which ones you think you'd be interested in. Businesses that are good companies to look into and with an incredible income opportunity to have a business withinside their business working from home. I know several people in each industry that do very well. Also a lot of information on this blog that you should read about on home based businesses, negative blogings, reports such as ripoffreport.com and watchdog etc, the truth about people calling legitament companies a scam and the BBB. It's not too long, just some issues that people need to know. http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-eqfAfFMlcqA8fDHDwdpcueRYyTm4 Like I said there's also a list of really good opportunities to look into for home based businesses. If you have any questions, you should contact Tiffany at [email protected] she's had her own home based business for years and years. Both her and her husband. they have four children of their own.

There are so many wonderful home businesses to choose from out there, and it's just that...a choice. You have to find something that fits you and your lifestyle or the lifestyle you wish to create. If it's a legitimate home business, it will be listed on the DSA website and be in good standing with the BBB. If you're satisfied that they are legit, that is all the proof you need that they work. Instead of asking yourself "Does it work?", ask yourself if you are ready and willing to work it. When you check out websites, they are indeed writing to promote the business. That is what business is! Promotion. If you were to come across a website for any furniture business, you will see nothing but them promoting furniture, same goes for electronics, real estate, etc. So you need to expect that when you visit the website. Contrary to what one of the posts here says, you need to expect to pay something for your business. I can't believe people say that if they ask for money, it's a scam. You are buying a business and any business is going to cost you money. That's where a home business comes in. The fees to start one are always reasonably low, and if you treat it like a million dollar business, your returns will be very high! One of my businesses, in the health and wellness industry, is less than $200. Where else can you purchase an up and running business that comes with full training, free leads, a teacher to show you how to call the leads, access to training videos and 10 or more people who will work with you and teach you how to build your business quickly for $200? I would say that's an excellent investment, you just must be willing to learn and then do what it takes to constantly build your business. The income potential is staggering. There is also tons of information on the net about running a home business and more importantly, getting into the right mindset to run a business. Best of luck to you!

Yes, There definately are legitimate home based businesses. Internet based businesses are a great choice, they are bringing in large incomes and are wonderful in letting you set your own schedule and being your own "boss". I agree that you should expect to invest something. You are buying a business. But it will be an extremely low start up cost, compared to other "brick and morter" business or franchise. In a good business you will be buying quality products to resell, getting Marketing tools and materials (websites, ads, etc.), they should have great support availible to help you, and a lot of training resources. I have researched hundreds and have been involved with dozens. I currently participate in several good business programs, but the one I think is best (and bringing me the most profit) is also the one that I believe will give you the best training when getting started in internet marketing. Before my wife and I started our own home-based business, we were asking the same questions. It seemed as though every article in favor of a particular company was written by someone with a vested interest in its success and, conversely, that every negative article was written by a competitor. There are, however, two terrific resources for checking the legitimacy of a home based business. They are the DSA (Direct Sellers Association - if a company is a member of this organization it is legitimate) and the better business bureau. If you haven't researched it yet, YTB is an excellent option for a home based business. You can learn more at http://www.flybymetravel.com

There are many legitimate home based businesses. Someone mentioned checking the BBB, while this can be a helpful source...do not just rely on what you find you there. If a business is a member of the BBB is it easy to dispute charges against your business. Check how long a home based business has been in business...scam companies do not tend to have long life spans. Check to see if the company has a phone number and address...look them up online to make sure they are real addresses, check the yellow pages to see if company is listed. Use whois.net to research websites...this can tell you how long a website has been up and who registered the website. Type in a company's name and the word scam using various search engines and read through the results.

The ONLY legit home-based businesses seen so far are ones that "outsource" work like customer service (via phone/email). Two things to watch for... If they ask for money (for anything), pass on and if they want you to recruit other people, pass on. Both are designed to make the business owner money and rarely if ever do you get paid anything worth your time, if at all. Office Depot for example offers telecommuting positions when they need help. They went from nine call centers to one, by outsourcing most of the CSR positions. Websites that title themselves as "REVIEW" websites are usually (99.99999% of the time) nothing more than an affiliate trying to steer you into one direction... something they get paid for. The reason there are so many of the fake review sites is because companies are paying sometimes $3.00 or more for each "sign-up". Steer clear of any so-called review website, any site that asks for money, no matter what and any offer that asks you to refer other people. They'll make money while you work your butt off for nothing. If you want to make extra money, you're better off doing it yourself. Find something you like or are good at and figure out a way to offer it. Feel free to email me if you would like help. I help other people start small one-person businesses and I don't charge any fees :) P.S. Any website that starts off with "Who Else Wants to (fill in the blank)... hit your back button. Don't buy into hype... they are designed to do one thing... separate you from your money. Good luck.

any business can work if YOU make it work...you have to be committed, and become a diligent student of online marketing...that is the key to success in any online biz...it doesn't matter if you are a newbie, we all start out at square one! if you are not looking to invest in yourself, not wanting to do what ever it takes to run a successful biz, than let me blunt with you...you will not succeed... and not to mention, a person also needs to go through personal growth... bottom line is, it's a business...you are going to have to work hard until you get to the point where you leverage the efforts of your team mates...
