What happens after you win an auction bid on ebay?

    You will be notified by Ebay Immediately that you are the Winning Bidder for the Item & You will have the Option to Pay for The Item at that time. You must Complete Checkout & Pay For The Item Before The Seller Will Send you the Item You Won. Depending on the Seller's Policy (some require immediate payment) usually you have Up to 7 days to pay for the item using Paypal. You then go to your Paypal account to pay for the item you won. This is Ebay's new rule as of Oct 1, 08. You have to pay through Paypal. If you do not have a Paypal Account then you must open up one in order to do business on Ebay. The Seller will then get a Email from paypal showing you paid for the item and the information you registered through paypal with is what the Seller will use to ship your item. If you do not have a Paypal Account let the Seller know you are Setting one up because it can take some time to get it set up. Sellers normal handling period is 3 days before shipping a item out to a buyer. It varies from one seller to the next. However you will then get another email from Ebay/Paypal showing the seller shipped out your item. If you do not get this then go to the item you won and click on "Order Details" It will show you when it was shipped. Once you get the item you leave appropriate feedback. Goodluck!

You'll have to pay for it first. When the auction ends, if you're the winning bidder, you'll get an official mail from eBay giving you payment details. Once the seller has received your payment, they'll ship the item right out to you.

you'll have some period of time to pay for the item. you'll have to provide you mailing address to the seller. then they will ship you the item afterwards.
