What are some good, high-paying jobs?
-
Hi, everyone. I'm in my early teens and I'm wondering if anyone knows of some high-paying jobs that don't really require much education. Also, my sister and I draw on the computer a lot and my when my uncle saw the drawings...well, I think he was impressed. My mom also likes our drawings. So would anyone know how to sell these drawings? On ebay or something? I would need to know how to print it with good quality and maybe an estimate of the cost (only if you can). Thanks everyone!!!!!

Answer:
The best paying job that I ever had when I was younger was a Bar Tender. But since you are in your teens I would go and wait tables. You do not need any education to do this and its better than a salaried job because every day you are paid in cash. I would go to the busiest restaurant in town and apply. If you live a larger city try an expensive steak house. Its also a great place to meet a lot of people.

US Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics website, Wages by Area and Occupation: http://www.bls.gov/bls/blswage.htm also has links to * For pay-setting purposes - data include information on the level of difficulty and complexity of work. * For over 800 occupations - data are classified using the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) System. * For about 400 industries - occupational wage data for sector, 3-, 4- and 5-digit NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) industries. * Data by occupation and gender - data for men and for women in 200 occupations (from the Current Population Survey) (TXT) (PDF) by State and also Metro Location links available also. I found this website to be sure useful when I was checkin out jobs and stuff. And about the drawings you and your sister do on the computer, my friend Ben does the same. He does art shows and sells his work. He has a website: http://www.bioworkz.com/ in which he displays his art and well as has it for sale. He's a really, really great guy, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind giving you tips on how make quality prints with your digital art, as well as tips on how/where to sell them. He is a Vector Artist, and even has tips up on his site to help other Vector Artists. If you're not into shows, you can take his advice and put your art up on Ebay or go to crafts fairs, which is also a great place to meet other artists and network with them... find out where and how they're selling their artwork as well. And if you have a couple friends or your parents or uncle can help you pay for a booth at a County Fair to sell your art is also a great idea. (Have a different friend who did that too and had great results.) Good luck :)

If you are looking for college major it seems like that as long as you have a degree you will get a good paying job. Try computer design or marketing. :) And as for the pictures. Try Ebay see how it goes you can never go wrong. You dont have to set a price. Just set the price at $.99 and let people bid. See how it goes. Good luck

High paying jobs that don't require much education? Perhaps skilled labor but you would obviously need to be very skilled and in demand. Honestly..I dont think people would buy computer pictures on ebay. Besides..you have to be 18 to sell on ebay and it costs money to sell.
