How to fire client?

I need to fire a client. What is the best way to do it.?

  • Should I just not fit him into my schedule anymore.

  • Answer:

Write a letter to the client and indicate that after a particular date (give ample notice otherwise you'll get a bad name) you will no longer be able to provide service to the client. Thank him or her for the relationship and offer to help find an alternate vendor if they desire it.

Other answers

You might just matter-of-factly say something like, "It's been nice doing business with you. I'd like to help you find a new _________." Fill in the blank with whatever your job title is. Just not fitting him into your schedule is like leading him on, which won't end the business relationship, and wouldn't be polite.
