How do I sell items on craigslist?

I have some items to sell, which is better to sell them at: eBay or craigslist?

I'm selling a wedding dress, books, and a chafing dish. I also want to sell a treadmill, some beveled crystal, a bed, videocassettes, a VCR, and more books. Which site would give a person more success? I need these things sold ASAP. eBay or craigslist?
