How do i find babysitting Jobs?

I am looking to find more babysitting jobs?

  • Ok, so I know I've asked so many questions about how to get more people to babysit for,and I have decided to put an add in the paper. The add will say this: Certified babysitter available on weekends. Contact.......(my name)at ............(my number) Is this good? will I get lots of calls?Should I change it? If I we to change it, how would you suggest I change it?

  • Answer:

The ad will probably work, but you might want to list how long you have been babysitting, if you can provide snacks, were you will be more comfortable babysitting(your house or theirs), and the ages of the kids you prefer. You might also want to put how long you can babysit for, and all this imformatin might get a little to expensive. Try putting up flyers in local grocery stores, or if they will let you, week-day day-cares. I would suggest that you don't advertise on the internet though, because there are many people out there that don't even have a child, they just want stuff from you. Good luck and be careful!

putting and add in the paper could be expensive... why don't you try Craigslist.... it's free and it's popular... better than a newspaper!!

The ad sounds good. When I was younger and looking for a babysitting job, I posted ad at the local grocery store community board. I got lots of calls off of that. You could try local community boards at coffee shops, grocery stores, etc. They are free and people actually read them!

I'm a professional nanny and a lot of people look online solely for babysitters these days because it's so convenient. Have you tried care.com, babysitters.com, and/or sittercity.com. All are free and easy to use for sitters and a great way to connect with potential clients.

i'd say that if people call you meet with them first and get acquainted with the kid(s) I know for me, babysitting for new kids can be kinda awkward and a little scary. I think the ads good. you could maybe add the ages that you'd prefer. if the whole ad things doesn't work ask your parents to put a word out to friends (my mom did this for me haha) good luck!!

that's a good idea. you might also want to mention the things that you can do... -cooking -homework help -playing a certain instrument -playing a certain sport you could also make slips and go around you neighborhood and hand them to your neighbors or make signs and post them up on poles or bulletin boards in you local community center etc. i did something similar to this. It was at my private tennis club though. go to your local clubs (sports, fitness clubs, daycares ect.) and ask if you can post a paper (sign) for babysitting because then parents that attend these places will see it! it worked for me so i hope this works for you! =]]

Hello, You need to put a eye catcher, Sinse you are able to baby set on weekend I would put, Need a weekend babysitter? Or can babysit on weekends!! certified, so many years experience, will provide snacks, Meals or Planned activities, Best of luck to you, Amber Dickson

i think its good but be careful where you put the poster because people like to prank call or just ask neighbors if they know anyone with a kid u could help

Please use caution when answering ads on the internet, especially free sites like Craigslist. There are scam artists and even worse real creeps, who troll these sites looking for victims. I own an online nanny service and have for 10 years. I never recommend free sites to sitters because there is no way to screen the advertisers. There was a sitter who was murdered last year after replying to an ad on Craigslist. The advertiser turned out to be a 19 year old guy. When publishing an ad in the paper, I wouldn't put a phone number that can be easily traced by using one of the reverse phone listings. You can find more safety tips and information on the "nanny scams" below. And, even when using online Sitter sites, if you have a strange feeling about someone, report it to the owner of the site.

Hey I understand your dilemma Iv gone through the same thing...so far i think you have done very good i would recomend putting an ad up at grocery sores and becuase parents coming through there might spot your ad.
