How to start and own a blog?

  • i'm thinking of starting a blog and have a few questions? 1. if i start a blog from one of those free sites do i still own rights to the blog or can someone steal my idea? 2. does anyone know a site where you can buy very cheap domain names...i'm very broke but am pretty sure that if i have a domain name that grants me rights? 3. if i buy a domain how do i attach a blog to it? THANKS EVERYONE

    1. You own the copyright to everything that you write. 2. You can get a .com domain for $3.95 from Yahoo or $3.99 from Netfirms using coupons from http://pricecheck.me/com.html 3. Blogspot has instructions on how to do this here http://www.google.com/support/blogger/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55373 .

you will own rights to your site address as long as you follow the agreements with the proivders. good one is blogspot.com. google free blogs and you should get a ton of them. also if you were thinking of doing a blog business you should look into google adwords and adsense. gets you traffic to your sites. good luck

If you want to earn money from your blog choose wordpress. I think they have this kind of option.
