How do you become a party planner?

I want to become a party planner.?

  • Answer:

go to prcing at local stores for a party of 50, including everything u would need, then to that as 20% of the amount of supplies, this is ur base price, have a percentage amount (5%) to add for every 10 or so people, and have an hourly wage for planning time, and setting up....good luck, i would use the hourly wage as 1 1/2 times ur states min wage

Well, I actually went to college for this exact thing. The program was called EVENTS MANAGEMENT. It was ok I guess, mostly common sense though. YOu really need to look at how much work you will be putting in to it, what kind of party it is, the decor costs, food, etc...also, if you or your client are covering the costs. Always charge hourly and keep very detailed timesheets. I would start charging between $10-15/hr (CDN). Hope this helps!
