What are your ideas about promoting a new product?

Product ideas for business project?

• I'm in yr 11 in Australia and basically we have to think of a product and we get 24 weeks to put it together... Like think of marketing strategies etc. and actually MAKE the product. I really need some ideas, because my group is stuck atm witha product idea and until we get product ideas we can't do anything.... So any good ideas of what we can sell? It should be something original and something that will cost fairly low to make... because we have to actually pay to produce the product.... We need to try make as much profit as possible in order for our share holders to gain profit =D so any ideas? thanks in advance ^^ all ideas are appreciated no matter how stupid you might think they are

  I taught Business and Information Technology at the secondary level for a while. One year I split a management class in to 3 teams and we played a year-long version of "The Apprentice." The winning team created and sold a "MyTownOpoly." There is a company that will produce these (I'll try to find a link). On the property landing spaces you sell ads to local businesses. So, instead of landing on park place, you might land on Joe's Coffee Shop. The sales of the adverts paid for the production of the game. The actual games sold for I think $20 a piece. The kids did not order enough yet earned around $7,000 on the project. They would have earned more had they anticipated the games popularity. ***UPDATE: OK - I found the folks. Link below. NOTE: I was really skeptical about this because of the appearance of the website. But it turns out they are legit and did a great job and are very helpful.
