One swollen tonsil for 4 months. Anyone know why?

So I've had one swollen tonsil for about 4 months now, and I'm getting a little concerned. I saw my doctor like the first month and he said its probably post nasal drip make it irritated and then swollen. There was mucus then, now I'm not really seeing any, wondering if I should get a second opinion or if anyone else has had this, and what it turned out to be for them/you. Thanks in advanced!

Just go back to the same doctor so he knows it has not improved.
