How much more money do they need to find a cure for CANCER?

  • and aids or any other terminal deadly diseases that these organizations say they looking for a cure. How many billions and trillions of dollars is donated and taken from tax dollars to find this cure and theres still no cure? Is it because they need more money? Can money cure anything? Whats the problem why they still cant find a cure?

    Did you know that, thanks to the money that's already been spent on research, 70% of children with cancer are cured of it? 70%!. We'd all rather it was 100% and one day it may be, but 70% is a far cry from 'no cure', no? And testicular cancer, Hodgkin's disease, and many cases of leukaemia can all be cured in adults with chemotherapy, most skin cancers are cured with surgery, and many cases of thyroid cancer and cancer of the larynx are cured with radiotherapy. Many other types of cancer are also cured if they are found early enough. Nobody would pretend that there isn't still a long way to go, especially with some of the commonest types of cancer such as lung, breast, bowel and prostate cancer. But the fact is that, though there is no guaranteed cure for any type of cancer, cancer is cured every day on an individual basis All thanks to the money that's been spent on research. And there are many thousands of people like me, who are very grateful indeed for that money and that research. Had I been diagnosed with my type, grade and stage of cancer as little as 20 years earlier tan I was, I would almost certainly have died. As it is, I have been in complete remission, with no sign of cancer, for six and a half years. So money spent on cancer research gets my vote every time; more of it, I say! The suggestions that a cure for cancer is either being hidden or not seriously sought for reasons of profit are nonsense. Any drug company discovering a cure for even one type of cancer would make far more money than they can have dreamed of making up till now. And doctors, scientists, researchers etc and their families develop cancer at the same rate as the rest of the population; they'd seriously rather watch their kids die than find/reveal a cure? The problem with finding a 'cure for cancer' is that cancer is hundreds of diseases, not just one. The difficulty is that different cancers are caused by different things, so no one strategy can prevent them all, and different cancers respond to different treatments so no one treatment can cure them all. There will never be a Eureka! moment when someone discovers a single substance or procedure that will reverse all types of cancer..

This question is asked endlessly here. Cancer is a general term for hundreds of different diseases and stages of disease. There can never be one cure that fixes so many different diseases. No one expects a single cure for all infections - also hundreds of different diseases. HIV is one type of infection, so a cure is a reasonable expectation for this. A cure for all types and stages of cancer is not a reasonable, logical expectation. Besides, over half of cancer diagnosed in the USA are cured right now. The problem is that there can never be "a" cure for all of these diseases. We are developing cures for more and more types of cancer each year. - - - - At least 31% of all cancer deaths could be prevented if people would not smoke cigarettes. We don't need an expensive cure if we prevent our most lethal cancer types - the ones associated with cigarette smoking. Is tobacco smoking really necessary ? Many more cancers could be cured with surgery if people would get the recommended screening for early cancers such as breast cancer, prostate cancer, and colon cancer.

Cancer is a collective term for approximately 200 different diseases. Every cell type in your body can (in principle) develop into its own type of cancer. So it is not all that surprising that we don't have a single cure for all cancers. That being said, many cancers are cured on a daily basis. Most of them through surgery, but some of them are treated with additional radio-/chemotherapy. And some cancers are cured by chemotherapy alone. And there are lots of reasons why the establishment really want to find a cure. Here are some of them: 1) Owners/employees (And their love ones) of pharmaceutical companies suffer from cancer too. 2) Researchers wouldn't be able to keep their mouth shut if they found a miraculous cure or even a major breakthrough. 3) Progress in cancer treatment is happening even though not as fast as we all would like to. Some cancers are even easily cured. 4) Pharmaceutical companies wouldn't lose money for finding a cure - They would increase their income considerably. 5) Also members of governments (and their love ones) sometimes get cancer

They (scientists) need machines and other technology for their testing. The technology costs money. They are working on a cure; the lack of cure is not because of the lack of money, but the lack of knowledge. They are searching for that knowledge.

The executives of the cancer Society make about a million $ pay. do you think they will give us a cure and loss all that money? every dollar you give them about 10 cents if that much goes to Research, the way I see it a new cancer Research Society should be started with honest people this time and get rid of the old crocked one. also look in www.relfe.com and find cures in there.

The money spent finding a cure for cancer is no more than searching for a new money making drug to treat symptoms. If they were fair dinkum, they would be researching healing, there is a big difference.
