Colon Cleanser Or Not?

  • I know there is a big thing going on in this country with colon cleansers and "mucoid plaque" getting stuck to the walls of your intestines, and everyone needs this colon cleanser stuff. But, my question is: I don't have constipation, I' not sluggish, or have any of the so-called symptoms of needing one. I move my bow-wows 3-4 times daily without fail. I eat plenty of fruit and veggies, and no junk food. I am 53. Should I "invest" in a colon cleanser?

    I took it and it made me sick. I got my money back after about 6 weeks. You don't need it and you don't want to go through what I did. no, because nothing gets suck to your colon walls, there are no "pockets" where things get stuck, you don't have a colon shelf. All those cleansers do is suck tomorrows poop out today. It's a painful waste of time and money.

Wow, that is a lot of bowel movements. You don't need to cleanse your colon, you seem to be eating healthy and taking care of yourself. I used to work at a nutrition store and there are some people who actually go a week or two without going "#2". Colon cleansers are for people like that who have digestive disorders or do not eat properly. Also, the wrong kinds of colon cleansers, like laxatives will actually cause problems and stop you up. This will happen because they make your muscles in the colon area relax so much that they let all that stuff loose and out, then they don't want to work right later on. I think it shocks them.
