I have a tooth in my upper gums, what is this called.

Growth On Gums? White?

• Ok so I have had 2 periodontists, 2 dentists, and 1 orthodontist look at my gums and no one has ever seen anything like it. It is on my upper gums above my right canine about 2 centimeter about where my gum meets my tooth. It looks like a small white rock or something sticking out of my gums. Kind of like a pimple. I can feel it if i poke it with my nail but it does not hurt. I first noticed it about 8 months ago. 5 months ago i went to the periodontist and he cut it and shaved it down. He did not biopsy it because he did not feel the need but he did not know what it was. (he just called it an abnormality) I noticed last week that it has grown back to the same size it was before. It is not a hard bump. I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about it before. I have another appointment with a periodontist(gum doctor) next week. Thank you It is not a bone and i have no dead teeth. No tooth hurts and they all look fine. When i poked the thing it reacted just like a normal gum it dented a bit where i poked it then went slowly back to normal
