Why is this bad for the smoker's lung?

If second hand smoke causes lung cancer why wasn't there for more lung cancer in the 1950's among non-smokers?

  • "over the 1950s and 1960s...the annual incidence of lung cancer among nonsmokers is only a few per hundred thousand," http://txtwriter.com/onscience/articles/smokingcancer2.html

  • Answer:

Secondhand smoke doesn't cause lung cancer. If you think about it, you aren't breathing in the tar along with the lung and throat damaging heat that allows the tar to embed into your tissues... There was something way years back, that stated if you smoke or were around smokers, you had little invisible balls of some deadly agent stuff all over you and your clothes, so you should wash completely and redress in clean clothes before going around others... crazy huh?

Second hand smoke is bullshit.

Maybe less toxin's within the cigarettes? Could have contained more tobacco, then tar and other random chemicals. They were probably smoking other stuff in the 60's if you catch my drift...

It is because the second hand smoke situation has been very over exaggerated.
