I wonder if the cell phone towers, installed around cities have any negative effects on people's health?

My brother is an electrition and he has to wear protective clothing by law while working next to them.these masts are put up without consent.we got one next to us and not one person was informed either verbally or written.esp the old lady it was built right next door to.stop anybody in the street and ask if they know of the health concerns connected to the phone mast situated close to their ho.people have no say and nor are they informed.there was a protest campaign with over a hundred signatures.even the local newspaper did an article.everything went quiet for 3 months then it was erected and quite a few people really didnt notice. some people have them close to their houses and quite simply dont know what they are for.Surely if there is just a whiff of a health risk shouldnt health and safety be involved.Why are we given no say in the matter when these things are erected so close to us and why does my brother have to wear protective clothing when within a few metres?people should be informed by letter if one is to be constructed near their house.Is there any proof they are safe?

It is well known that cell phone towers omit radiation and lead to leukaemia.
