If you where the person to find out a cure for cancer, then who would be the first person you will tell?

  Sorry, but the way you describe it is not a very real scenario. It is not a matter of putting some chemicals together. If a scientist thought that they found a cure for cancer (or something that might extend the lives of cancer patients) they would need to run clinical trials to find out how well it worked, or if it worked at all. There are many times when something seemed to stop or slow down cancer in animals only to find that it does not work as well in humans. There is no shortage of people out there that claim they have "a cure" but the problem is that this cannot be known in any real way until clinical trials are run. People would want to know how well it worked and under what circumstances it worked. Progress in the war on cancer will most likely be incremental, rather than cancer being wiped out all at once.
