With witch medication are benign cysts treated? Or do I have a tumor?
-
My results say I have a brain cyst, however, my doctor said that if it's benign, it's treated with medication and if it's malignant it needs to be extracted with surgery. However, after searching around a bit I've been unsuccessful to find any cysts that are treated with medication, they're either left alone or extracted by surgery, but my doctor didn't mention anything which brings me to the conclusion that I might have a brain tumor. So are there cysts that can be treated with medication or do I have a tumor? It's in my septum pellucidum if it helps.

Answer:
You were diagnosed with a cyst so I would say you have a cyst.
