What does it mean if you have a high protein count in your blood?

When I knew I had a virus, but my white blood count was 27,000 could that also mean cancer?

  • 13 years ago I had hodgekins (cancer) lymphoma. I am in remission. I have no spleen, and my immunity stinks.. I was in hospital and my white blood count was 27,000. I was temp of 104.3, and had a horrible miagraine.. They discharged me, and now I have over 60 fever blisters/ulcers all through my lips and mouth. If your white blood count is that High, could it mean cancer again? What can I do to clear up these fever blisters?

  • Answer:

With a high white count and a fever that high I'm surprised you were not prescribed antibiotics. High white count and fever would probably mean bacterial infection. My suggestion would be to go back to the doctor. If you went to the emergency room they are only going to treat what they can at the moment. A general practitioner will be able to help you more.
