Does the instyler damage your hair?

Is the Instyler worth it?

• I'm considering buying the Instyler but I'm not sure if I should. I have shoulder length hair(maybe an inch or so below) and is very thick. I used to use a flat iron but I stopped because of the damage it was causing. I'm sure the Instyler causes damage as well but probably not as much as a flat iron. My hair isn't too difficult to straighten, so I'm wondering if I should purchase the Instyler. Oh and also would you recommend buying the full size or the 3/4th inch barrel because my hair is only shoulder length. Thanks you guys!

  Personally, I don't think it is. I mean I love mine and all, but the first one I got broke the first time I used it so we had to exchange it. It works well, but doesn't really curl hair or give you amazing volume like it says in the commercial. If it were like 50$ it would be worth it, but it isn't worth the 100$.
