What part of the saddle does the synch attach to on a western saddle?

How to attach these saddle bags?

  • All the saddle bags I have seen don't have anythig to fasten them to the back of my saddle- how do I attach these? Also, there are no holes or ties.

  • Answer:

Most cheap saddles do not have ways to attach anything behind the seat, have some hooks put in the saddle to attach the bags to, good western saddles have tie straps for such things.

punch your own holes and install your own rivets, very weird every saddle bag i've come across had the holes already there, are you sure it's not a pommel mount (stupid question as i'm sure you would've noticed the giant hole in the center that's perfectly sized for a horn lol) and are you sure that you aren't finding saddle bags meant for a bike? and if there's an extra leather strap on each side, they're meant to attach to your back "d" http://www.westernsaddle.com/lewesaba2.html d-mount https://corrientesaddleco.com/MISC.php regular http://www.horseloverz.com/Tough-1-Leather-Pommel-Bag---Dark-Oil-pr-300484.html pommel try thefind.com, they'll get ya a HUGE selection of types/prices/dealers good luck

You should try the leather strings to attach the saddle bags.
