How do you size a western saddle seat?

Where can I get a very high quality barrel racing saddle with oak leaf and acorn tooling in the seat size 17?

    I would try Smith Brothers. They have a really nice selection of saddles in all sorts of sizes. That's where I go first for anything that I need. That is a very big seated saddle, I am 6'11" and weigh around 190 and I ride a 16" western saddle. Try this sight www.southerntrailssaddle.com (if I had a butt that big I would not advertise it.

Try www.horseclicks.com- they have both used and new saddles and most of them are reasonable priced. Question for you- are you going from an english to western saddle and think because you're english saddle is a 17, that you're western saddle is a 17?? If so that's not the case. I ride in a 14.5" Western saddle but my English saddle is a 17. And I do NOT have a tiny butt, so I think you might want to go to a tack store and (ask before doing this) sit in a few western saddles to see what size you really need. It's going to suck if you buy a saddle off the internet and it's WAY too big for you.
