How to FIND barrel races in MO?

  • Okay so for this year, I just plan on going to little ones. Like open shows and such only for this year. I am joining a saddle club this year as well so maybe I'll get some luck there. But for next year I have no idea where to find the bigger barrel races. I am really excited to start actually barrel racing in 2 months. It's been the highlight of the new year for me. Does anybody know where I can find bigger races? Thanks....

    Here's the Missouri NBHA website: http://www.missourinbha.com/index.htm Kansas NBHA website (in case you are close to the border): http://ksnbha.com/ Lone Wolf Arena I've heard a lot about also: http://www.lonewolfarena.com/barrelracing.html#flyers I'm only involved in the littler races, so I'm not sure how "big" these races are; but if you go to these this year and kind of get in the loop, you can probably find some bigger ones through contacts that you acquire at these races. I know you can qualify for state competitions at the NBHA ones.

If you look on the NBHA website I know they post a few shows in every state. Honestly if I haven't heard from my coach much i'll look online a lot. Barrel horse news, barrel horse world, all those good ones. Facebook is pretty useful too sometimes, you'd be surprised.
