What are some well-known colleges?

Well-known colleges with good riding programs?

  • I am currently on the college search and am trying to find a four year college with: Good academics, well-known riding program (IHSA, etc.), and mild weather. I compete in the higher level equitation classes and am a good student. Weather is an issue for me as I currently have very mild winters and am not sure if I can become accustomed to snow. The schools dont necessarily have to have an equestrian degree program as I am undeclared. Thank you for your help.

William Woods!!! They are in Missouri. And I THINK, they might be the #1 equestrian school in the country, either way, they are an AMAZING school :)

Berry collage they have stables and a riding team with tons of trails ! its in GA so the weathers nice ! hope i helped good luck!

Sounds like you live in the south!??? Ms College in Clinton Ms has program.. Google Providence Hill Farm clinton Ms they have info on the MS College Equestrian team... If you want a degree in equine sciences MS. State. has a good program. but they have no riding program and if they do its going to be western. I have not checked lately.. I attend MS. College and its a great school!!

Findaly U. Its in ohio so winters=harsh but its a great school.

Well, Colorado State has a fantastic equine program and is a great school overall, but the snow thing doesn't match your criteria. However, I'd probably want to start getting used to all kinds of weather if I were you, the horse business can take you all over the country.

Lake Erie College is a good one.
