Does a music producer get points from an album even if they only produced a few of the songs on it?

Anyone who has contributed work on an album can claim points on album sales whether it's on all of the tracks or not. If tracks are sold as singles, then the producer of that particular track is entitled to credit. Regarding iTunes, it depends entirely on the contract. I would imagine iTunes will keep a percentage and pay the rest to the label and it gets sorted from there.

Coversure

Depends. If you are doing a band or artist who is not on a label, they pay you directly but if you are doing a signed band, the label will pay you accordingly!
