What's a good topic for a writing sample?

Whats A Good Topic For A Song?

  • Im trying to write a song but i cant think of a topic. The style of music i wanna write right now is rock, or classic rock. The song that pumped me up for writing was Talk Dirty To Me by Poison, so something in that era is my style :) thanks =D

most people use sadness, death, or love (the joy or heartbreak of it) as inspiration to write a song. i would actually to try write something with nothing to do with those topics. focus on what you know, and what you know varies with experiences. or.......be awesome and write something that makes little sense but is awesome nonetheless? like Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

Hmmmmmm.......talking dirty is already taken. How about talking cleanly or sweat talking?
