How do i put on a guitar string (low e) without the buzz sound?
-
I am changing my guitar strings and the low e string (the only string i have on) is resting upon the first fret creating a buzzing sound, how do i put the string on without the annoying buzz and do i do this with the rest of the strings?

Answer:
Put the other strings on. the tension on the neck once you get them all on should help this issue.

It will fix itself once you get more tension on the neck(by putting the rest of the strings on). If it still makes noise, you might need to raise the bridge a bit(if you have an adjustable one). If it is still buzzing, you may need to adjust the truss rod. Any guitar shop should be able to for about $20, or you can if you know how--it's not too hard, but it may require a bit of tweaking to the bridge afterwards.
