What are some artists similar to The Strokes?

What are some good musical artists/bands I would like?

  • I'm into more alternative rock and progressive metal, but I'm open for many different types of music. I've been trying to find artists to listen to (I listen to artists, not just songs) on Pandora, and with not much success. Here are some artists I really like for you to get a feel of the music I like: Vampire Weekend (My favorite band) Rush Dream Theater (My second favorite band) The Killers Modest Mouse Kamelot The Strokes The White Stripes And some popular bands like: Fall Out Boy Cobra Starship All Time Low And Owl City Those are just a few bands I like. Any suggestions? Oh and I do not like Country music

    I would suggest The All-American Rejects and Green Day. They both cover a lot of topics, and types of music. I usually think of 'Rejects as softer and Green Day as more loud, but believe me, they both switch sometimes. :3
