Can anyone tell me what older song this new song reminds you of?

I heard a new (I think) song on the radio and the beginning sounds like an older song. I don't really care much for the new one but I'd like to find the older one. The newer one is from the band Destrophy and the song is The Way of Your World. About 10-20 seconds in, it sounds VERY similar to a slower, sad song that was out (just guessing) 10-15 years ago. Any ideas would help.
