Songs about you love dying?

Bands like Atreyu, Gone Without Trace, Avenged Sevenfold, As I Lay Dying?

  • I am making a sentimental CD for my brother, he used to listen to bands such as: -Atreyu (* Favorite Songs- Bleeding Mascara, Ex's and Oh's, Lipgloss and Black, Aint Love Grand) -Gone Without Trace -Avenged Sevenfold- (* Favorite Songs- Unholy Confessions, Chapter 4, I won't see you tonight (all parts) -As I Lay Dying As time went on he became increasingly into more underground and more hardcore bands. So much so I couldn't even identify what the singer was saying or even trying to say. I remember he mentioned one band he loved where they had two drummers? I can't ask him because he's not really speaking to me right now, and I want it to be a surprise. Please help out if you went through the heavy metal, hard core phase with music or are still into it and know of other bands and songs I can look up to see if they sound familiar to what he used to play in the car. Thanks a million to all!

  • Answer:

Rise Against (you would probably like their older stuff a lot) Bullet For My Valentine Killswitch Engage AFI (their older stuff is horror punk, but they went soft around 2003) Billy Talent Sonic Syndicate 36 Crazyfists Metallica All That Remains The Devil Wears Prada Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, and As I Lay Dying are 3 of my favorite bands

If your brother really is into the heavier stuff, I suggest Meshuggah, specifically the songs Rational Gaze and Bleed, as well as the band Textures, again, specifically the songs Messengers, Awake, One Eye for a Thousand, Laments of an Icarus, and The Sun's Architect. In fact, pretty well everything from Textures is great, and heavy. By the way, these bands are no where near as soft as Atreyu, so be careful with them. I mean, I used to listen to Atreyu myself, and yet I transitioned from that to thise above, so it's possible he might like those songs, but he might not be THAT hardcore. It took me a while to appreciate Meshuggah. They're... not regular. lol

the offspring maybe but i dont know any others
