What's the best digital piano?

Whats a good electric piano/keyboard?

• I useto play the piano/keyboard a few years ago and just started up again recently. I have a large piano in my family room and a very (i mean very) old keyboard with an awful, out of tune sound that has trouble turning on and no longer lets me play notes together. I want to replace it, but I want a keyboard or electric piano that isnt very light on the notes (i like it a little heavier) and has good sound. what sort should I be looking for? thanks :D

  Of course, instruments are subjective and matter of personal taste - but overall, I would suggest Yamaha boards at the moment. Some of them (Yamaha) have so called "natural touch" keys (heavier on the bottom and lighter on top) which makes them pretty close to the real piano. It also matter of a budget, matter of on-board sounds, external amplification, portability etc. Perhaps if you give a bit more info, our answers would be more to your liking. The excellent overall choice is an ES 90 series, Plain ES 90 has basic (but very good) keyboard sounds (piano, el piano, clavinet, etc), but there are variants (ES MF and ES EX) that also have all the motif synth sounds. Try to find a local used one, that'll save you quite a bit.
